Welcome to a new year everyone. We are excited to begin this next portion of our school year.
Upcoming Events:
Tuesday, Jan. 14 - Representatives of the Kamloops Blazers will be in our classes. They will visit our class during our gym time (which is taught by Mrs. Rasmussen).
Wed., Jan. 15 - the PAC will begin weekly sales of pepperoni from Gary's deli at 1.00 ea.
January 20-27- FAMILY LITERACY WEEK- 'Unplug and Play' - more info to follow
-February 12- AXIS THEATRE PRESENTS, 'Raven Meets The Monkey'- 1:00pm in the gym
-February 13, 19, 20- HARPER MOUNTAIN SKI/SNOWBOARD - A notice went home with fees, due dates, and clothing recommendations.
-March 12- Grades 4/5 Afternoon Swim at Canada Games Pool

We are reading a novel together called Hatchet by Gary Paulsen. We continue to practice spelling on Spelling City. Your child can visit this site for homework.
Math - we are rounding and estimating and will soon begin a unit on money.
Science - We have started a unit on light and sound which will involve some cool experiments
Social Studies - Grade 4's will begin reading about First Nations Peoples as Grade 5's begin learning about Canadian government.
In HACE we are examining work habits.
